a budding artist gift set

I'm always looking for unique gift ideas for kids. I appreciate unique ideas and things that help keep my son away from the TV or the iPad, and knowing other parents probably feel the same, I recently put together this fun gift idea for the budding artist in your life.

The great thing about this gift is that in many ways it's customizable by age. Include water paints and construction paper and you have a gift perfect for a toddler. Include clay and watercolor pencils and you have a gift much more suitable for an elementary school student. And my favorite thing to include in the supplies to make it extra special? A personalized art smock!

The personalized art smock from StuckOnYou is easily my favorite we've come across. We've purchased several different art smocks in the past -- some are too thin and paint bleeds through onto your kiddo's clothes, some are a non-absorbent, easily wiped clean material that quickly transfer any paint, marker, etc. from the smock onto other items it touches -- and have never really found one we love. But, the StuckOnYou art smock is thick, absorbent, and machine washable + you can customize them by color, design, and name font.

Do you have any favorite go-to gifts for kids?
