This year we're doing an activity advent (I'm sharing it daily on Instagram!) series along with the advent reading schedule using The Jesus Storybook Bible (you can find it on Pinterest). I've tried to put in a good mix of fun activities all about our traditions and activities all about serving others.

Our first serving others activity is to take a treat to our neighbors and I'm super excited about this one! I knew I wanted to bake something yummy for them to snack on during the holidays but I wanted to take it a step further, so I decided to put together a fun Christmas-In-A-Box gift.

I took advantage of this current Target coupon for the Rubbermaid Bento Organizers ($1.00 off any Bento box!) and used one to hold all of the items in our Christmas-In-A-Box gift. The separators within the bento organizer are perfect for keeping the items from sliding around, and people can reuse the box later which this organizational freak thinks is a major bonus.

Here's what went into our Christmas-In-A-Box:
-Short strand of white Christmas lights
-Mini Christmas tree
-3 mini ornaments
-M&M and pretzel bark in a cute tin (recipe coming later this week!)

I love that this gift is easy to put together and brings extra Christmas cheer. We'll be dropping our box off at a neighbor's house today along with a tag and our contact info. You could also send it by mail to a far away family member or friend too! I think this will become a regular advent activity for us -- full of Christmas spirit and blessings others.
