Vacation is very different when you have a child. It is does not mean sleeping in (we were up at sunrise every morning) or relaxing on the beach (I didn't sit down once), but it does mean getting to experience what seem like routine things through the eyes of your son. And through those eyes, everything is magic.
Gunner busted from the car, straight for the water, the very first time he saw the ocean; and he didn't stop till a wave knocked him down. He also willingly touched a stingray while I hid in the corner. We swam in the hotel pool and soaked up the last bit of the warm weather and toured a WWII submarine.
It was simple. It was perfect. And I'll never forget it.
Even if I was in less than five pictures.
