a fun holiday event for DFW locals!

This post sponsored by Prairie Lights Powered by Gexa Energy!

I'm all about tradition when it comes to the holidays. We always watch football and play a boys vs. girls game after Thanksgiving dinner. We always decorate our Christmas tree as a family, even if it takes longer that way. And one of my most favorite Christmas time traditions is attending a local Christmas lights display.

For all of you DFW locals, you must check out Prairie Lights Powered by Gexa Energy this year! It is always a highlight of our Christmas season. Prairie Lights Powered by Gexa Energy involves a two mile drive full of incredible light displays and ends with the world's longest light tunnel; which I'll admit is pretty trippy. Half way through the drive you can stop and visit the Holiday Village for food, hot chocolate, gifts, carnival rides, and photos with Santa. We also love the lighted walk through every year.

We've been going since Cody and I were dating and we obviously love it, so I am so glad I've been given the opportunity to promote and share it. If you think you'd like to attend, here are the details...

WHEN: Thursday, November 28th - Tuesday, December 31st
TIMES: Sunday -- Thursday from 6-9pm. Friday -- Saturday from 6-10pm. Holidays from 6-10pm.
WHERE: 5610 Lake Ridge Parkway Grand Prairie, TX 75052
COST: Monday -- Thursday is $20 per car. Friday -- Sunday and holidays is $30 per car.

I'll be back to share all about our experience after we attend. I can't wait to see what Gunner thinks about it this year. He is OBSESSED with the lights we have strung on our back patio so I know this will just be the coolest thing to him.

What are your favorite Christmas traditions?
