Thank you to Pottery Barn Kids for sponsoring this fun Halloween post!
A few weeks ago I shared a tutorial for an easy DIY play fire hose. The fire hose was a compliment to the super adorable firefighter costume from the Pottery Barn Kids' new Halloween costume line that is full of classic costumes that kids will love for years.
After the writing of that post I heard from lots of mamas who loves the ease of store bought costumes, but shared my desire to add homemade elements to make those costumes just a little bit more special. I hear ya! And today, if you have talent with makeup, this post is just for you! If you don't have that natural knack, that's okay too, because Pottery Barn Kids has released a whole series of DIY Halloween Face Paint Templates for you to use.
All of these adorable looks compliment the costumes from the PBK line, and all you need for them are a few makeup items and the provided templates you can find on their blog. The templates and instructions are so simple to use, so if you don't have a lot of "face painting experience," don't let this deter you!
I think the pumpkin fact paint design could be perfect for those kids who don't want to mess with a costume and would prefer the simplicity of an orange shirt and black pants. The fairy look could be paired with any ballet costume or tutu and a cheap wand from the party supply store.
Halloween will be here before we know it! Can you believe it?
What are your kiddos dressing up as this year? Do you dress up too?
