Motivation To Get Moving

I've recently made the goal to move more. Not become a fitness model or someone who religiously goes to the gym each day. I just want to get myself into a little bit better shape.

If you're a mom or someone who finds themselves often very busy, you know how difficult it can be to get a workout in. Here are some of my favorite ways to get myself moving. Maybe a few of them will work you too!


1) Take a morning walk with your child in tow
2) A fun game of flag football or volleyball with friends at our local park
3) A quick but intense Crossfit workout -- you can Google Crossfit workout ideas!
4) Several rounds of squats while holding a heavy object -- I do them holding G. That's +25 lbs!
5) Cardio workout on our fitness cable channel


I've been searching for ways to keep motivated in this goal, and being 100% honest -- a cute workout outfit helps me want to get up and go to the gym or take Gunner on a several mile neighborhood trek. 

When Ellie contacted me about trying out some of their fitness apparel, I was super excited to give it a go. I haven't really bought any new workout gear since Gunner was born (read: I'm cheap), so this was a welcomed opportunity. 

Both items that I chose happened to be from the "Little Black Collection" but Ellie has lots of bright, color options in their other collections and I am swooning over all of them.



I chose a pair of capri leggings because I knew I could wear them for things besides work outs. And for me, a loose, sleeveless shirt is pretty much a must when it comes to working out..in my opinion, it keeps me cooler. This one has a super fun element of the open back which I really love.
