I know I've been a little MIA this week but I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to prepare for our biggest adoption fundraiser yet that is TONIGHT! Eek. We've been planning for this spaghetti dinner silent auction for several weeks now and I can't believe it's finally here.
Last night as I was rushing around trying to tie together all of the loose ends, Gunner decided he just didn't want to go to sleep. He cried if he was alone and just wanted to sit and "talk" when I was holding him.
I found myself getting super overwhelmed at the fact that I was losing time while rocking him to sleep. I'm not typically like that but I had stuff to get done, y'all. Luckily, it didn't take me long to realize that the Lord was prompting me to just give it all over to Him. The planning, the fundraiser, the adoption in general, and everything in between...give it all to Him. So, I said a quick prayer of thanks, soaked in the smell of Gunner's bath soap, and laid down a little boy who promptly fell asleep. Thank you, Jesus.
I am so glad that the Lord is always patient with me.
If you think of us today would you say a quick prayer for the success of our fundraiser dinner? But most importantly, would you pray that the plight of the orphan is brought to many hearts and many minds?
Thank you guys. Love y'all, seriously.
