This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Allstate for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Our experience in the international adoption process has changed me in so many ways.
I'll admit that I can be quite the negative nancy, but as I find myself more aware, more in tune to the problems of others, the little things I find to complain about pale in comparison. Lately, I've made it a goal to celebrate the simple things, the small things, and find contentment in all that I am blessed with.
The other night we played outside before bed time, like we always do, and I watched Gunner run around while the slivers of sunlight disappeared.
Sunlight. A backyard to play in. A roof to shelter us as the day gives way to night. The dinner we'd eaten before, plenty full and satisfied. The clothes on our backs. The shoes on our feet. A little boy who loves to giggle. A little boy who is able to run around and play. And those tiny fingers that love to pick flowers...oh, how thankful I am for them.
All of it. I am blessed for all of it. Every single bit of it. Are there bad days? Sure. Are there times when I want to succumb to doubt and to fear? Absolutely. But I want to spend more time celebrating the good things and less time living in the shadow of adversity, fear, and doubt.
As I've found myself growing, changing in this way, I find that I want to surround myself with more people who believe in finding joy in the little things, people who fight off the bad. It's uplifting, it's confirming, it's encouraging.
I also love finding companies who believe in this same lifestyle, this same mantra.
Allstate has taken an all together new approach as an insurance company. The new brand vision, Allstate Good Life speaks with a voice of optimism and celebration versus fear. Allstate works everday to build more good into the lives of their customers.
I absolutely believe that this approach can spread socially and become more of a way of life than an occasionally seen approach, and I think it's best spread by example. If I...if YOU...if WE choose to celebrate the adventure, the beauty, the good in life, I truly believe others will want to follow.
Would you join me on this journey to live for the good?
What small moments do you celebrate through out the day? How do you fight the negative?
