Affordable Spring Finds For Little Boys

Spring is here! And I am so excited about all of the bright colors and graphic prints I am seeing in kids clothing for the coming months. While I really do love the winter months, it is so refreshing to see fun colors and prints.

As the mom of a little boy, I know the challenge of finding clothes for boys. Almost every kid's clothing section is comprised of a good 80% of girl's clothes, and 20% of boys. There's also the challenge of price. Gunner is rough and tumble, sometimes making his clothes not last past a season; thus, I want things to be cute but also affordable.

Take heart boy mommas, there are some great options out there and today, I'm sharing a few of them with you.

1. Braided Band Straw Fedora // I love hats on my son! Little girls have so many accessory choices -- headbands, bows, leggings -- and I think as momma's of boys we should take advantage of pretty much the only accessory choice we're given, hats. This one from Old Navy is super affordable and comfortable.

2. Red & White Striped V-Neck Tshirt // This top is graphic and fun, minus the cartoon characters. Stripes are so classic and can be paired with almost anything. Made by Cherokee and carried at Target, it only costs $6.00 so it's completely okay if it only lasts one season.

3. Red Canvas Shorts // Are these not so cute? Perfect for the playground on warm spring days but nice enough for church when paired with a polo or button up. The shorts are made out of canvas so they're easy to move in and super durable, and at only $12.00 they're easy on your wallet. These shorts sell out of certain colors very quickly, but they also usually restock very quickly.

4. Pop-Color Khakis //  These green pants from Old Navy always sell out quickly, probably because they're so cute. Although the temperatures are certainly getting warmer, some days you still need pants. These pair provide the warmth but don't skip the bright spring color. These pants also sell out of certain colors faster, but they also usually restock very quickly.

5. Paul Frank Sunglasses // I mean, why not? They're only $5.00!

6. Toddler Boy's Sperry Top-Siders //  These shoes are super versatile in their style, easy to dress up or down. Plus they're water resistant which is a must with a little boy's mischievous personality. The toddler version of these shoes comes with a hook and loop velcro closure for easy taking on and off. These are a little pricey but are worth it when it comes to quality and durability.

7. Nautical Navy & White Pullover // Perfect for spring evenings when the temperatures get a little chilly. I love everything nautical on little boys and I think this would look super cute paired with the red shorts or green pants.

Let me know if you decide to grab any of these items for the little men in your life! I already have the green pants waiting for my guy.
