The Finish Line

Cody had run a few errands and I greeted him at the door upon his arrival with the words -- "So, I guess I'm going to be getting that BIG tattoo..." with a big smile on my face.

I don't know what else to say but thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Yesterday, I typed The Tattoo Project's donation page address into my web browser, planning to check on the project's goal and then post an update to my Twitter. A few hours earlier we were still $30 short of our goal and I kind of expected to see the same number. But I didn't. We were no longer short of the goal, the goal had been EXCEEDED

Yep, that's right. $1,055 has been donated to The Tattoo Project! You have helped provide for FOUR orphan children in Africa. I have been so blessed to watch this kind of generosity and love from so many of you.

You might remember from my first Tattoo Project post that it takes just $250 to support an orphan for an entire year. That means we're only $195 from providing for a FIFTH orphan and we still have three days left of this month. Do you think we could make providing for a fifth orphan possible? I think so. I know so. If you would like to donate and help provide for a FIFTH orphan, you can click the "donate" button below.

Now, I'm off to do some tattoo artist research.
I am so excited and so scared, but feeling so humbled and blessed!

PS: The winner of the Starbucks gift card donation raffle will be announced in my final Tattoo Project post at the end of the month.
