Copycat Linkup {2}

Welcome to week two of Copycat Linkup! Last week, in our first week of Copycat Linkup, we had six people link up with us. We are so thankful and proud of that number, but this week we're hoping for a few more people to link up. Our goal number for the second week is ten people...would you help us get there by spreading the word?

If you're new to this whole thing and not exactly sure what this linkup is all about, here it is in a nutshell...Take style inspiration from anything -- Pinterest, a magazine, an advertisement, your favorite fashion blogger, ANYTHING -- and transfer that inspiration into your own style using pieces that you currently own. Simple and fun, right? If you'd like, you can read more about the purpose and original inspiration, here

My outfit this week is another Pinterest inspiration from my style board. I'd originally planned another outfit, but when I put that one on and it was a total flop, I moved on to this one.

Here's the inspiration outfit...

I'm not 100% happy with my translation of time I'll make sure my shirt is pulled and tucked a little tighter, and I'll probably throw a pair of boots on instead of flats.

 Flannel shirt: Target, this season // Skirt: CAbi// Navy flat: Target, this season

My skirt obviously isn't pleated as it is in the inspiration outfit but I think the detail in it is just as interesting. I know they say you shouldn't wear white after labor day, but I think a wintery flannel top easily helps excuse that rule.

You can see Mary's week two look, right here. And don't forget to check out our Copycat Linkup Pinterest board where we will be pinning YOUR outfits each week!

Now let's see your outfits! Just remember we have a few guidelines...
