Copycat Linkup {1}

Hello! Hi! Howdy! I can't believe today is here! Today, is the very first Copycat linkup. I hope that this will be the first of many days that you will read these posts and join in on the fun with Mary and me.

If you're new to this whole thing and not exactly sure what this linkup is all about, here it is in a nutshell...Take style inspiration from anything -- Pinterest, a magazine, an advertisement, your favorite fashion blogger, ANYTHING -- and transfer that inspiration into your own style using pieces that you currently own. Simple and fun, right? If you'd like, you can read more about the purpose and inspiration, here

Remember, the first five people to link up will be sent a $5 Starbucks gift card. If you're one of those lucky people, please take the gift card as just a small token of appreciation. And even if you aren't one of the first five, please know that we are grateful to have you with us as well.

Now, let's get down to my inspiration for this week...

These two outfits were my inspiration...simple tshirt, black bottoms, black blazer, and a statement necklace. So effortless but it still looks so put together. Here is my translation...

 Black blazer: Kohl's, this season // Grey tshirt: Target, this season // Black skinnies: Target, this season //
Black flats: Target, this season // Circle, turquoise pendant: c/o BlueBird Bride // Other necklace: Target, last season

I wore this outfit when we went Christmas shopping. It was super comfortable but I still felt really put together and confident. I was secretly hoping we ran into someone we knew, but, of course, we didn't. Does anyone else only run into people when you look a hot mess? Just wondering.

If you'd like to see the look that Mary, my co-host, put together for this week, you can see it here. And don't forget to check out our Copycat Linkup Pinterest board where we'll be pinning some of our favorite outfits from the linkup!
