Y'all, we have trouble on our hands. Gunner is officially mobile. At the age of 6 months, G is already crawling. I'm well aware that this is super early and there is plenty of skepticism when I tell people this (our pedi didn't even believe us), but I'm telling you, the kid can move!
He pretty much has two speeds of crawling...a slow, methodical crawl where he is very focused on his movements, and a hyper speed, army sort of crawl where he can get to Molly's tail in mere seconds. Needless to say, Molly isn't a big fan of this new-found talent.
Gunner has done a lot of "physical" things very early...rolling over at 2 months, sitting up at 5 months, and now he's crawling. He's also close to being able to pull himself up into a standing position using the edges of our couch. We've already learned to keep a lot of things off the floor and out of reach and have plans to baby proof outlets, lower cabinet doors, etc ASAP.
I'm excited to experience this new phase. G is able to entertain himself for longer periods of time and that is certainly nice, but this is just another sign that my squishy baby is gone. The other day I was watching videos of him on my phone from when he was only a few weeks old and I almost can't remember those times...his little squeaky noises and his flailing arms and legs.
I do find some comfort that each new stage quickly becomes my favorite stage, so I'm sure this one will be the same. Bring on the craziness that this new stage holds!
