G's Two Week Checkup

Yesterday, Gunner turned two weeks old. I can't even believe it. In some ways, it seems like just yesterday when he was born, but in other ways it seems like he's been with us always.

Earlier this week we had G's two week checkup. I thought I'd jot down his growth here as this little blog started as a place to document his growth inside my belly.

Weight: 9 lbs. 1 oz. (in the 65th percentile)
Height: 22 inches (in the 83rd percentile)
Head Circumference: 34 centimeters (in the 8th percentile)

The doctor was happy to see that he is eating well having surpassed his birth weight (8 lbs. 4 oz.) and said that he is indeed a happy, healthy boy.

Cody and I are loving every minute with him. We feel like we're starting (key word: starting) to get the hang of being parents to a newborn and are getting into a routine with him.

G is sleeping a good three to four hours a time at night, and after a feeding from Momma and a few minutes in the rocking chair with Daddy, he is back to sleep. The boy also goes through more diapers than I knew possible, but I think a lot of that has to do with breastfeeding.

I appreciate all of your support and sweet comments over the past two weeks. I hope that you've enjoyed the guest posts that have been here and hello to all of the new "followers" that joined me because of those posts!

I have a few more guest posts up my sleeve and after that I hope to slowly work back into the routine of blogging. Also, while I'm getting back in the swing of blogging, be sure to follow me on Instagram (username: carlyskinner)! I post a lot of pictures there as it's a little easier to keep up with right now.

Until then, here's a picture of my little boy already squirming away from Momma's kisses...

Can't you just hear him? "MOM! This is SO embarrassing!"
