Dear Peanut - v.18

Dear Peanut,

Tomorrow, you will be here. I can't even wrap my mind around that. You have kept me and your Daddy on our toes the past few weeks with all that flipping around you've been doing, but I'm okay with that. I like people who keep me guessing. You're stubborn, that's for sure, but I'm okay with that too. Being stubborn doesn't always have to be a negative pays off when your stubbornness makes you stick to your beliefs, your morals, and the person that you were raised to be. I hope you'll be stubborn in that way too.

I guess this is my last "Dear Peanut" post of this pregnancy. That makes me a little sad. These "Dear Peanut" posts are what started me blogging and documenting our journey together. There are so many things I'll miss about having you in my belly, I'll especially miss waking up to you stretching and squirming inside of me. Your Daddy won't miss my new found snoring problem though. I hope for the sake of Daddy (and you) that that problem goes away once you're here.

And while I'm sad that this is my last letter, I am so excited to continue these letters out loud, with you in my arms. I'll probably still blog letters to you, though. I want you to know my hopes and dreams for you and I want you to be able to look back and see them written down.

I'm not sure how to wrap this letter up, so I guess I'll just say..."see you soon." And it will be so soon! Can you believe that? We've already spent 39 weeks together and I can't wait to spend many, many more with you.

I'll see your sweet face soon. I hope you don't mind lots of kisses on those cheeks of yours, because you've got lots headed your way.

I love you, sweet boy.

39 weeks

First, I want to say thank you to all of you who have joined in and followed along on our pregnancy journey. Thank you for the sweet, kind, understanding words that you constantly leave me. Here, I have found a place to express myself and have met a lot of great people along the way.

Over the next few weeks or so, I imagine that posting will be sparse and I hope you understand. I will, of course, post pictures of little man as soon as I have the opportunity. And I promise I'll be back more regularly so I hope you'll wait around for me.

Until I can get my baby blogging act together, I will have several guest posts from some of my favorite blogging friends. They'll be posting on different topics, from their favorite moments as mommas to recipes and DIY projects. If during this guest posting series you find yourself interested in writing a guest post for Texas Lovebirds, shoot me an email at and we'll work something out!

Okay y'all, I'm off to rest and relax. I'll catch you on the flip side...that is, the side when I'm officially a mommy! Woohoo!
