InstaFriday...on a Saturday

Another week has come and gone, and I swear it has been one of the longest ones in awhile. I always greatly anticipate the holidays, so I think this makes time seem to pass by slower. Here are the photos that documented this week...

The weather has been so gorgeous in Texas lately, and I'm taking every chance I can to enjoy it. Here in Texas it's usually either really hot or really cold, we don't get a lot of in-between, so these days are definitely to be treasured.

This week began my countdown to our week long Thanksgiving break. Most people ask who is looking forward to the break more, me or my students, and I'd have to say it's probably a tie. I cannot wait to have a week to lounge, read, and get some stuff done around the house.

On Tuesday night Cody received his 5 years of service pin for the fire department he works for. I was so proud to stand beside him as he received his pin, and loved how he introduced Gunner (and me) as we stood in front of everyone. He's already a very proud Daddy.

Wednesday was my gestational diabetes test. I went in expecting the worst, but the test wasn't bad at all. The high sugar content in the drink gave me a little headache, but it really was no biggie.

I took all of Wednesday off of work, it was my first full day off since the school year began in August, so it was so nice to just get to relax a little. I went to Target, got another scanner, and added a few items to our baby registry. Since it was the middle of the day there was barely anyone in the store, so it was a lot less stressful than our big registry day that I wrote about here. I also enjoyed a cup of decaf white mocha, which is bound to make any experience better.

I also got the chance to go through a box of little boy clothes and shoes that one of my mom's friends gave us. It's all so precious and I can't wait to see all of it on Gunner.

We wrapped up the week with a high school football game. My little brother's team made it to the playoffs and pulled out yet another great win last night, so they'll continue on.

It was really chilly last night with a temperature in the 50's and crazy winds, but we had a lot of fun. And to top it all off, we ended the night with our first fire of the fall season...a fire that I promptly fell asleep in front of.

Hope you all had a good week! x
