Time for another InstaFriday! Once again, I'm linking up with Life Rearranged and their InstaFriday party post.
This week we made a trip to the famous Texas State Fair. The weather wasn't perfect, we were pretty hot most of the time, but we still had a great time.
I didn't eat as much this year as I have in years before. I guess the heat didn't make fried food sound super appetizing. I had two big glasses of fresh squeezed lemonade (with a hint of orange too), an order of fried pickles, and an ear of buttery, roasted corn. We did indulge and split one very fried item, and that was the chicken fried bacon.
Cody also found a new love for coffee this week. This is strange as he used to be disgusted by the smell and would promptly hand me a piece of gum after a cup of coffee. I felt like we should document his new addiction while we were facetiming when he was on shift.
And then a few hours later, I received this text back , after asking how many cups of coffee he was going on...
Seriously people? I think the man might be addicted. I loved the Jessie Spano reference. If you know what he was talking about, you are awesome.
The school week went by pretty quickly, which is just fine with me. We made a run to the store late one night, where I took the opportunity to take a front view picture of Gunner.
And after our trip, my sweet husband insisted that I get in the car and off my feet, while he loaded up all of the groceries. I'm telling you guys, I am spoiled.
Unfortunately, the rest of my week was FULL of these babies...
My yearly cold has set in with a vengeance. I normally load up on meds, but I'm trying to stay away from anything because of my Gunner boy. I think tomorrow will warrant a trip to CareNow, hoping they might be able to write me a prescription for something that's safe for my baby and me.
And when all else fails, I can always count on my 7th graders to make me laugh. Today, during silent reading time, one of them walked up to me and showed me the inside of their library book...
And promptly said, "Um...what's this weird pocket thing for?" Wow, they make me feel old.
