Dear Peanut - v.7

Dear Peanut,

I guess I can start calling you Gunner now, but I think you'll always be peanut.

You look very healthy. We saw all of your little parts since yesterday was an important anatomy sonogram. We saw everything from the cerebellum region of your brain to all ten of your tiny little toes. I think you look perfect.

The doctor did say you have a tiny "bright spot" in your heart that's called Echogenic Intracardiac Focus. It is thought that the bright spot is due to an area of the heart muscle having a little more calcium than average; thus, the bright spot. She assured your Daddy and me that there really was no need to worry since all of my other genetic tests came back completely clear. The information she gave us called EIF a "normal variation." In fact, 1 out of every 20 or 30 pregnancies show this variation.

Your Daddy and I aren't worried, I think God has just given you a special heart. I know your heart will be strong enough to play sports, run around with our puppies, and love the Lord the way we hope you will. You are perfect to us.

Love you,

Gunner at 21 weeks and 1 day.
