I think it's safe to say that most moms worry about what they put in their children's bodies -- foods, juices, medicines. But, I think we often neglect to consider what we're putting on their bodies and thus, into their bodies. When Gunner was a few months old we found that he had eczema, and while doing things like restricting dairy certainly helped, I began researching what bath and body products would help his symptoms.
After a lot of trial and error, we landed on The Honest Company products and have since then used them on all of our babies. The products are all hypoallergenic, natural, lacking harsh chemicals and are so gentle on the skin. With the learning curve that is learning black hair care, we began using Honest Co. products on Titus out of pure habit and they're still been our most favorite. With the products lacking any harsh chemicals that might dry out hair or skin, they've been perfect for Titus. I love knowing that I can moisturize their skin and wash their hair without worrying about what I'm putting into their bodies.
As far as products for Gunner's eczema and one of my most favorite products for myself, we love the Organic Healing Balm. It's helped some of our worst cases of extremely dry, cracked skin. It's also great for diaper rash and since it's an all natural product, I've had no issues using it with our cloth diapers.
We also love The Honest Company diapers and wipes for the same reasons we love the bath and body products -- they work well and are made from all natural materials, safe for even the most gentle skin. They're nice and thick too. I carry a small package in my purse to clean sticky faces and hands. The Honest Company diapers are also the cutest out there, and my absolute favorite to give at baby showers. When our babies end up with a diaper rash and we have to switch to a stronger diaper cream that can't be used with cloth diapers, I always purchase a package of Honest Co. diapers. Since they also lack any chemical additives or scents, the babies' skin never seems more irritated by the use of them.
Do you have any favorite Honest Co. products? Have you tried any of the products in your own home?
